What Is ACLS Training?

ACLS goes beyond basic life support (BLS) and focuses on advanced interventions for managing cardiac emergencies. This American Heart Association (AHA) course teaches a systematic approach to treating adult patients experiencing cardiovascular issues such as arrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes, and post-cardiac arrest care.

Key components of ACLS training include:

  • Recognition and early intervention of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Airway management techniques
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation and recognition of arrhythmias
  • Pharmacology for cardiovascular conditions
  • Effective communication within a resuscitation team
  • High-quality CPR and defibrillation skills
  • Case-based simulations to reinforce decision-making

By the end of the course, you will have the confidence and competence to act swiftly and decisively in emergency scenarios.
