ECG & Pharmacology:
This course covers basic electrophysiology, normal ECG measurements, basic arrhythmias, and the administration of appropriate drugs within the advanced life support algorithms. This course is for healthcare professionals, as well as healthcare students, who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who require this specialized knowledge for their job. It also provides an excellent foundation in heart rhythms and pharmacology before taking advanced life support classes such as ACLS or PALS.
All materials required for this class are included in the course fee. Successful completion of the course results in an official AHA Certificate that is presented at the end of the class evidencing the achievement of course objectives. This course is eligible for 6.0 hours of CE credit for EMS personnel.
